Bridgeport, CT – Bullard-Havens Technical High School hosted a special thank-you event to recognize Nissan North America, D’Addario Nissan, and Paul Miller Nissan and AAA Northeast for their generous support of the school’s Automotive Technology Program.
The event celebrated Nissan North America providing two modern vehicles—a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder and a 2022 Infiniti QX60—to the program to help students gain hands-on experience with current industry-standard vehicles. D’Addario Auto Group and Paul Miller Nissan covered the cost of transporting the vehicles from Tennessee to the school, making this a full-circle investment in local technical education.
In attendance were Dan Schnaufer, Service Director of D’Addario Nissan, as well as Paul Miller, Owner, and Gregg Catandella, Service Manager of Paul Miller Nissan. (Abraham Gonzalez could not attend but is a graduate of BHT Auto and a mentor for new student employees.) Michael Ellesio Director of Fleet Operations and Joe Cardoso CT Fleet Manager of AAA Northeast. Each guest was honored with a special thank-you certificate from Bullard-Havens students. George Harte Nissan was also recognized for their technical support to the program and job shadowing and Work Based Learning opportunities for the students.
“These vehicles will significantly enhance our students’ ability to practice and refine their skills on up-to-date technology,” said the Automotive Department Head. “We’re deeply appreciative of the continued partnership with D’Addario Nissan and Paul Miller Nissan.”
In attendance also were Connecticut Automotive Retailers Association’s Sarah Fryxell, president to show support for our automotive students and programs and addressed the students.
