Students Attend Career Fair

Students in grades 9-12 attended a Career Fair put together by Ms. Huber, 10th grade School Counselor and the Shop Instructors.  Shops were represented with agencies ranging from The City of Bridgeport- OSHA and Youth Works to NAPA Autoparts and Ironworkers.

UBE Club Attends Play at Long Wharf Theatre

Members of the United by Equality Club recently went to the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven to see the production of Napoli Brooklyn by Meghan Kennedy. The play takes place in Brooklyn and tells the story of an Italian family coming to age in a rapidly changing world.

Sophomores Reach 90% on ALEKS Geometry

On March 3, 2017, 19 sophomores were treated to a lunch buffet at 500 Palisade Cafe.  These students were recognized for reaching 90% or better on ALEKS Geometry from the beginning of the school year up until the present day. 

Senior Girls Basketball Player Reaches 1,000 Points

Senior Plumbing and Heating Girls Basketball player, Destiny Santiago, finished her high school basketball career as a 1,000 point scorer. Destiny is a four year varsity player with the Lady Tigers and has received several honors during her time playing basketball here at BHT.

Take Your Parent to Shop Day a Success

BHT's Family Engagement Take Your Parent to Shop Day for the 10th and 11th graders was held this past Friday. Parents came to school and spent the morning with the children in their respective shop classes.

Carpentry Seniors Hard at Work

The fall of 2016 proved to be a busy time for the Bullard-Havens Carpentry Department.  We took on two outside production jobs, one in Stratford and the other in Monroe, Connecticut. 

UBE Attends Play at Long Wharf Theatre

The United by Equality (UBE) club recently attended the performance of 'The End Game' at the Long Wharf Theatre. For many, this was their first experience of seeing live theatre. All of the students had a great time and look forward to the next play in March.
