Students Receive Funds to Attend Hamilton at the Bushnell

December 13, 2018

English Instructor Keli Russell never thought that she would be awarded 250 tickets to see Broadway’s Hamilton at The Bushnell in Hartford when she applied for the lottery last month.  Tickets for the show start at $200 but our students only paid $10.  Our students were also provided lunches for the performance paid for by Bridgeport Senator Dennis Bradley.  The students and staff were so excited to be able to be a part of this once and a lifetime opportunity.  The students enjoyed a workshop put on by students from various schools as well as a question and answer session with part of the cast.  Channel 12 news even came by school to give the students a special send off.  Thank you to Ms. Russell, the Administration, Instructors, Senator Bradley, Channel 12 News and everyone else who made this amazing opportunity happen!
