Automotive Department Head Named 2019 SEMA-NACAT Award Winner

Amiot, who is also the head of the Automotive Technology Department at Bullard-Havens Technical High School, was selected from a very competitive field that included applicants from the U.S. and Canada. Roxanne Amiot, Auto Technology Instructor at Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut, received the 2019 SEMA-NACAT Education Award during the Education Partners Breakfast at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Junior Selected as Bridgeport’s Barnum Festival King

BHT Junior Tomas Montilla was selected among 15 other young men from Fairfield County to be named the illustrious Barnum Festival King.  This is a very big honor to hold in the city of Bridgeport and it is only the third time in the history of the Barnum Festival that a student from Bullard-Havens has held the title.

CIAC Scholar Athletes Honored

Congratulations to seniors Lydia Masala and Richard Edwards who were chosen as BHT's CIAC Scholar Athletes. Lydia is a varsity three sport, four year athlete who played Volleyball, Basketball and Track & Field. Richard played varsity Basketball for four years.

Congratulations 2019 Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Masonry Department Head, Mr. Pensanti, who was named BHT's 2019 Teacher of the Year. Mr. Pensanti was honored at The Baci Grill in Cromwell, CT on May 16th. We are so lucky to have Mr. Pensanti as part of our school community!!

KEYS Student Concert

KEYS Student Spring Concert at the Klein Auditorium. The spring concert featured the KEYS Concert Band, the KEYS Chorus, the KEYS Orchestra, the KEYS Vocalists, Pianists, Instrumentalists and more!

Senior Hairdressing Students Take State Boards

Senior Hairdressing students traveled to Hartford on Saturday to take their Hairdressing State Boards for their License. The girls have been working very hard for the past 3 1/2 years on their hairdressing skills and were very well prepared for their test.

Junior Hairdressing Students Become Skin Certified

Juniors in Hairdressing recently received their 'Skinny on Skin' Certification. The students had to take a survey on skin disorders, watch a video on how to identify skin disorders/skin cancers and then took an online test in order to receive their online certification.

NHS Members Volunteer for Park Clean Up

National Honor Society (NHS) held a park cleanup at Success Park in Bridgeport on Saturday, April 6th from 9-12. Eighteen students along with Advisors, Kelly Flaherty and Amber Stefania attended the event in the community.
